Disney Dreamlight Valley: Food in the real world! Spaghetti Arrabbiata

Step into the world of Disney Dreamlight Valley, where every meal is inspired and infused with magic and adventure!

Today’s recipe features Spaghetti Arrabbiata—the three-star entree crafted from ingredients found in the Sunlit Plateau, Dazzle Beach and the Peaceful Meadow.

I remember the first time I made this dish in the game. I was desperately trying to figure out how to make Spaghetti Arrabbiata to give Merlin as a gift, but kept getting the recipe wrong! Cheese, basil, garlic and bell peppers; I was so sure that one of these would be in it. After many failed attempts and lots of overthinking, I finally found the perfect mix of tomato, chili, and wheat to create Merlin’s favourite food of the day. Thus, levelling up our friendship bar!

I’m excited to share a dish that captures the essence of Remy’s Kitchen and Italy’s vibrant flavours—Spaghetti Arrabbiata. This spicy pasta dish, known for its zesty tomato sauce and a kick of red pepper flakes, can be a favourite among the characters, a staple in many kitchens, and is one of the first three-star recipes I’ve created in the game!

Inspired by my adventures in Disney Dreamlight Valley, I couldn’t resist and finally ended up recreating this delicious recipe. Whether you’re looking to impress friends with a tasty dinner or simply craving a comforting bowl of pasta, this Spaghetti Arrabbiata is sure to delight your taste buds.

In the game, you can create this three-star dish by using tomato, chilli and wheat as the ingredients. Luckily for us, the in-game wheat can be replaced by store bought spaghetti (but feel free to make your own fresh pasta!) The rest of the recipe only requires a few simple ingredients and some patience.

I hope you enjoy my quick take on this recipe.

Let’s dive into this delightful recipe and bring a taste of Disney magic to your dining table!

Prep Time

Cook Time

15 minutes

Serves

2

Ingredients

  • 200g of spaghetti
  • 2 cups of whole cherry tomatoes
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • Chili flakes to taste
  • 1/4 cup of good olive oil
  • 150ml of tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • Parmigiano-Reggiano or Pecorino Romano (as much as your heart wants)
  • Parsley for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps

1

Collect all necessary ingredients for your meal, such as your vegetables, spices pasta, etc. Ensure you have everything you need before starting.

2

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.

3

In the meantime, mince your garlic and chop your cherry tomatoes in halves. Then, set it aside

4

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant. Keep an eye on your garlic and reduce temperature if it looks like it’s browning too fast!

5

Add your sliced cherry tomatoes and sprinkle some salt. Give it a stir, and let the tomatoes blister.

6

Once they look a bit soft and wrinkled, add in the tomato paste, and season with salt and pepper. Add water and mix until combined.

7

Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. You can tell the sauce is ready when you tilt the pan, and no liquid flows down.

8

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add in the pasta water, 1 tablespoon at a time.

9

Plate your spaghetti and sprinkle as much Parmigiano-Reggiano as your heart desires. Garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • You can use tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes instead of the tomato paste. Just be sure not to add the water in the next step (unless it’s too thick!!)
  • Different dried chilies will change the overall taste and heat of this dish
